CAREFLITE HONORED WITH THE 2023 AIR MEDICAL SERVICE AWARD
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas- CareFlite is recognized as the 2023 Air Medical Service of the Year by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
The Texas EMS Awards honors a person or organization that exemplifies the best that EMS/Trauma System has to offer. The Air Medical Service Award, specifically, honors a public or private air medical service in Texas that has demonstrated the highest standards in providing patient care, leading the way in innovation and commitment to patient care.

CareFlite’s selection for the Air Medical Service award represents and showcases the commitment to a higher standard of transport medicine to the patients and communities across North and Central Texas. This is CareFlite’s second time winning this award, the last time was in 2005. CareFlite has been in operation for 44 years and employs approximately 650 employees.
CareFlite is a non-profit that operates helicopter Air Ambulance bases in Burnet, Dallas, Fort Worth, Granbury, McKinney, Gainesville, and Whitney, Texas, as well as a fixed-wing ambulance that extends our Air Medical Transportation services to a radius of over 500 miles from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Our Ground Ambulance services are available in all or portions of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Erath, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall and Tarrant Counties.
